General comment
Allocation is required if some material, energy, and waste data cannot be measured separately for the product under investigation. Allocation used in Ecoinvent 3.10.1/3.11/3.12 environmental data sources follow the methodology ‘allocation, Cut-off, EN 15804+A2‘. All allocations are done as per the reference standards and the applied PCR. In this study, allocation has been done in the following ways: In this study, as per EN 15804, allocation is conducted in the following order; 1. Allocation should be avoided. 2. Allocation should be based on physical properties (e.g. mass, volume) when the difference in revenue is small. 3. Allocation should be based on economic values. Allocation regarding material or energy substitution are carried out according to EN 15804 (division between C and D modules). Most of the data is product specific. For the use of energy (electricity and use of fuels) only facility-level data were available. Energy consumed during the manufacturing stage has been allocated to the analysed product based on the mass of produced products. The production line only produces single type of product with some difference to its form. However, these differences have a minimal impact on the manufacturing process. As the processes for all variations of the products produced at the production line are very similar regardless of the end dimensions, the raw materials, packaging, ancillary materials, energy consumption and waste streams are all calculated by dividing the total inputs flows by the total output of the production line. Also, no variations in emissions per declared unit are reported. The final product includes a 4 mm thick seal which size is independent of the profile dimensions. Annex 1 includes a detailed overview of the variations in the size of products. Data collection for production, transport, and packaging was conducted using time and site-specific information. Data for 77% of raw materials per weight was gained from EPD-s. Manufacturer provided specific and generic data were used for the product’s manufacturing stage. This EPD is product and factory specific. Data used from the databases covers the period 2021-2026. CUT-OFF CRITERIA The study does not exclude any modules or processes which are stated mandatory in the reference standard and the applied PCR. The study does not exclude any hazardous materials or substances. The study includes all major raw material and energy consumption. All inputs and outputs of the unit processes, for which data is available for, are included in the calculation. There is no neglected unit process more than 1% of total mass or energy flows. The module specific total neglected input and output flows also do not exceed 5% of energy usage or mass. Due to this the following inputs were neglected: adhesive, packaging tape, packaging film and emulsion, raw material packaging waste and emulsion waste, screws and power drills used for assembly. The production of capital equipment, construction activities, and infrastructure, maintenance and operation of capital equipment, personnel related activities, energy and water use related to company management and sales activities are excluded.

Technical purpose
The studied product is hot dip galvanized sheet metal profile which used to build dry-wall and ceiling constructions. The profiles are made from thin sheet metal (0,45 -1,2 mm) by roll-forming technology. The product is made from galvanized steel sheets (DX51D ZN100) and is provided in sheet thicknesses of 0.45 mm, 0.50 m, 0.55 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.7 mm, and 1.2 mm. However, the most used thicknesses are within a range of 0.45-0.55 mm. The sheets are galvanized with a zinc layer of 7 µm. The different profile types and their respective weights per meter are given in Annex 1. Further information can be found at: https://hanza.com; www.profiline.ee/en
